Pro golfer has added his name to the roster for [THE CJ CUP @ NINE BRIDGES], South Korea’s first official PGA Tour event. On July 1, pro golfer Do-yeop Moon secured the championship trophy at the 61st KPGA Championship held at A-One CC in Yangsan-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea, scoring 12-under in the four rounds. The win has made him the second golfer to attend [THE CJ CUP], a prestigious PGA Tour event with a roster of 78 golfers, following Tae-hee Lee.

"When I first started playing golf, I dreamed about winning an PGA Tour event. Now that I am actually playing at an PGA Tour event, I feel indescribably happy,” said Moon, adding “I think that good results will come if I concentrate on every moment of my play in a relaxed condition. I plan to thoroughly prepare myself for the event with the aim of making it into the top 20.”

Entering its second year this year, [THE CJ CUP] has already established itself as a tournament every Korean golfer wishes to attend. Pro golfer Tae-hee Lee, who hoisted the championship trophy at the 2018 Genesis Championship in May, said with excitement, "[THE CJ CUP] is the tournament of my dreams, so much so that I even attended last year’s installment as a spectator. Now that I’m actually playing in the tournament, I’m so excited that I feel like I'll be kid in a candy store.” Moon also expressed his delight, saying, “I've always wanted to play at [THE CJ CUP], and now I’m really happy to have achieved that goal.”

CJ would like to sincerely congratulate Moon on his winning a ticket to [THE CJ CUP]. We are very pleased that [THE CJ CUP] will provide him with the opportunity to experience the big stage and will help him reach his dream of entering the world stage. As is a tournament he has always dreamed of playing, we hope that Moon will yield good results in the tournament all the more, and we also hope that other Korean golfers playing in the tournament including Tae-hee Lee and Do-yeop Moon who have already had their attendance confirmed will experience the big stage and realize their dreams of reaching big heights in the global golfing scene.

In fact, last year's edition of the tournament, which ended in success with current world No.2 Justin Thomas winning the trophy, saw 17 Korean golfers including Si-woo Kim, Meen-whee Kim, Byeong-hun An, and Young-han Song compete with renowned PGA Tour golfers. In keeping with the tournament's motto, “Bridge to Realization,” many Korean golfers will be given the opportunity to attend this year as well, and Korean golf fans are keeping a close watch on who those might be.

[THE CJ CUP] is scheduled to take place at Club Nine Bridges located in Jeju, South Korea for four days from Thursday, October 18 to Sunday, October 21. For more information about the event including ticketing, please visit the official [THE CJ CUP] website at or its CJ Mall webpage at
