Many top-level golfers of PGA Tour applied for participation

Applications for THE CJ CUP @ NINE BRIDGES have closed

Major players will participate such as Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka, Jason Day 

- 32 out of the top 50 golfers in the FedEx Cup standings, and 7 out of 24 Ryder Cup participants will compete

- Defending champion Justin Thomas as well as Brooks Koepka, winner of two season major championships, and Jason Day, winner of many season championships,  confirmed their participation in THE CJ CUP 

- This season’s winners Kevin Sangwook Na, Gary Woodland, Ian Poulter as well as major championship winners Ernie Els, Adam Scott, Jason Dufner, Danny Willett also confirmed their participation 

- Hideki Matsuyama, the new rising star of Japan, will also participate and face off against Si Woo Kim and Byeong Hun An in a competition between Korean and Japanese young guns

The application period for THE CJ CUP @ NINE BRIDGES is now closed after being held in the Club at Nine Bridges located in Jeju starting October 18th and finishing in the morning of the 20th (local time). Defending champion Justin Thomas announced his participation in THE CJ CUP on the 13th, along with Brooks Koepka who won major championships twice this season and Jason Day who won many times, as well as other international golfers winning championships this season and those who have experience winning PGA Tour major championships.

32 of the top 50 golfers in the FedEx Cup standings this season applied for participation, which is 7 more than last season’s 25 golfers. And 7 out of 24 golfers representing the US and Europe in the Ryder Cup, which begins on the 28th, also decided to participate in THE CJ CUP.
