The competition between Korean and Japanese young guns at THE CJ CUP!!

Si Woo Kim, Byeong Hun An, Hideki Matsuyama

This year at THE CJ CUP, Si Woo Kim, Byeong Hun An, and Hideki Matsuyama confirmed their participation, and thus the rising stars born in the 1990s that represent Korea and Japan are scheduled to compete. Hideki Matsuyama, who has grown as a golfer representing Asia with 5 victories of the PGA tour including 3 victories last season, is visiting Korea in 3 years after his last visit at the 2015 Presidents Cup. Accordingly, Si Woo Kim, Byeong Hun An and Hideki Matsuyama will compete in good faith as golfers representing Asia, while also presenting a game of intense competition for  golf fans in Korea and Japan to cheer for as rivals.

CJ Group welcomed the decisions of world-renowned golfers to participate. “The golfers participating in THE CJ CUP are all world-famous players, so it won’t end up being a surprise whoever wins, and they are all expected to present a great tournament for golf fans in Korea and all over the world,” said a CJ Group official. “In fact, last year we undertook our utmost efforts to provide the best service possible for the golfers to devote themselves exclusively to the tournament, and as a result, THE CJ CUP became a competition in which many world-renowned golfers are now eager to participate. We’re also going to do our best this year so that excellent international golfers can participate in THE CJ CUP next year as well.”
